Get Ready for Summer With Our Exercise Classes

Exercise Classes
If you want to get in shape, our exercise classes can help you to reach your goals.  This is the time of year when most people become aware of the extra pounds that were gained during the winter months.  As the shorts and tank tops come out, now is the time that most people want to get into shape.  If you are one of them and have weight loss or exercise goals, we invite you to join one of our classes so that you can be encouraged along your journey.

The Benefits of Taking Exercise Classes with a Group
One reason to take a class is to be motivated and encouraged by those in the same situation as you.  When you see other people that are also trying to get in shape, it can help motivate you to keep going and to show up for class.  This will help with your personal accountability since your classmates are likely to ask where you were if you missed a session.  For a lot of people, this is all it takes to stay on target.  It’s also fun to workout with other people.  You can make new friends, engage in conversation and take the time to do something for yourself.  For people that are busy taking care of kids or working a demanding job, this time for self can be incredibly rewarding and help to bring some calm into your life.  Exercise has also been proven to release endorphins that can put you in a better mood.

Exercise Classes Are Designed for Various Levels of Fitness
If you are worried that you won’t be able to keep up or that the class will be too advanced for you – don’t be.  There are various classes that are designed with specific fitness levels in mind.  We don’t expect you to be an expert right away, and neither do your classmates.  You may be surprised by how encouraging everyone really is.  You can take your time, get acclimated to what we are doing and gradually build up your strength and endurance.  If it only takes one class to get up to speed, excellent.  If it takes you a month or two, that is fine as well.  The objective is to keep up with the class and to do your best.  You will naturally build up the endurance that you need to do more or to workout harder.  Your body will direct your pace, and it’s important that you listen to it.  If you try to do too much too quickly, you could end up injuring yourself which will set you back even further.  Instead, be patient with yourself, listen to your body, be consistent and have fun.  This way you can maintain an exercise routine that is sustainable, rather than pushing too hard and burning out.

We offer a variety of exercise classes for you to choose from and encourage you to visit us to learn more.  We can discuss what you are interested in and help you to select the class that is right for you.

Why You Should Start a Fitness Program This Month

Fitness Program
Considering the pros and cons of committing to a fitness program this month is normal, but have the cons really ever outweighed the pros? What is not to love about feeling happier, more energized, and having an overall better quality of life? You should start a fitness program this month for you. Don’t do it for your boyfriend, your girlfriend, or because your mom is concerned about your weight. Do it because you want to be the best version of yourself that you can be. A fitness program can better your overall health, and it can help you become a more content and confident person, but you must start by wanting it.

A common principle is that you should be getting at least 150 minutes of exercise a week. That can equal out to about 30 minutes, 5 days a week. A 30-minute workout is done in a flash and will improve your long-term health exponentially. This is a reasonable commitment to make for a fitness program that will benefit your health in an amazing way. If 150 minutes a week is too much of a stretch for you to make with your busy schedule, start out with 15 minutes a day. We guarantee that you will come running back for more after you witness the amazing change it makes in your attitude and mood.

The repercussions of not getting enough exercise are concerning to say the least. Not exercising can lead to a premature death. No one wants to miss out on a full life of fun, friends, family, and the opportunities that ensue with living. Starting out with just working out 3 days a week will immediately begin lengthening your life. This is partially because a fitness program will strengthen your heart. When you don’t exercise, your heart weakens. This leads to bad circulation, high blood pressure, strokes, and heart attacks. That is a long list of problems that could be avoided by just starting a fitness program to strengthen your heart.

You will feel better.
No one wants to feel bloated or overweight. A lack of exercise could be the reason you have gained a few pounds and feel so much less energetic than you once did. Starting a fitness program can lead to weight loss and a toner body. Being overweight, or even being average weight, and not exercising, can lead to weaker bones and joints. You will experience more pain when you move and potentially serious injuries if you let these weaknesses go unchallenged. Starting a fitness program will immediately start bringing your bones and joints up to an impressive vitality.

A final thought is this: Do you feel sad or depressed fairly consistently? This is a very common state of mind for people who don’t get adequate exercise. Starting a quality fitness program can help you beat those feelings of depression and sadness. No one wants to feel down all the time and exercising increases the endorphin production in your body that makes you feel happy.

With all of the benefits of exercise and the absolute lack of negatives, starting a fitness program this month should not be a question, unless the question is how to start! Make your health a priority today by starting your fitness program with us.

A Personal Trainer Can Help You Get Into Shape Faster

Personal Trainer
Although many people want to get into shape, few consider working with a personal trainer in order to do. They usually think about joining a gym, going on another diet, or investing in home exercise equipment. Many are under the misconception that personal trainers are only for professional athletes. They seldom realize that this is far from the case. Even if your goal is simply to lose a few pounds, tone up your arms, or tighten your stomach muscles before summer, a personal trainer can help you achieve your goals, both quickly and efficiently.

Help - I'm Not Seeing Results!

Many people need help with their exercise routine, regardless of whether they are beginners or have been working out for some time. While some people work out very strenuously at the gym, in spite of all their efforts, they are still not happy with certain parts of their body. Nothing they do seems to reduce those 'love handles' or flabby arms. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people who do not see the results they had hoped for, become exceedingly frustrated and eventually quit exercising altogether. However, there is a far better alternative. As a personal trainer, we can help to create a personalized workout plan that is tailored to deal with your specific problems.

As a professional trainer, we will not only design a program that gives you faster and more effective results, but will motivate you in various ways. After working with you a short while, we get to know what triggers your motivation and will use that knowledge to keep you going. We will also keep a record of all the improvements you have made which, otherwise, may have gone unnoticed. Additionally, we will educate you in other areas that affect your general health and your ability to get as fit as soon you possibly can. It's important that all your other habits and activities in your life feed your goal of become healthier. You aren't going to get very far if what you do outside of the gym is counterproductive to what you do at the gym. For example, a balanced and healthy diet is critical in your journey to a healthy lifestyle. We can outline a diet plan that can support the workouts you are doing.

Additionally, it's also about being as efficient as you possibly can. Most adults have very busy schedules and don't have time to waste on ineffective exercise routines. As a personal trainer, we can maximize your time by providing efficient workouts designed to meet your goals. We can teach you the proper way to perform each exercise movement in your routine and can correct any issues with your posture, form or technique. Not to mention that learning how to perform exercises properly reduces your risk of a serious injury. If a specific exercise isn't working for you, a trainer can change it to one that suits you better, yet still provides the same physical benefits you want.

We Can Help

As qualified personal trainers, we believe in approaching our clients with positive reinforcement and gentle encouragement. We also set realistic goals specific to your situation, examine your current exercise routine and nutrition plan and make necessary adjustments, so you have a more successful workout.  If you are new to exercising, we can create a whole new fitness routine and diet plan for you, taking your weight, stamina, medical conditions (if any), personality and objectives into account. We will work with you at a pace you are comfortable with. If you let us assist you in achieving your fitness goals, we will  most certainly help you succeed.
